Australia’s leading foodservice distributor, Bidfood, has today announced its ‘Our Farmers’ drive aimed to raise funds for Aussie farmers who are battling with the impacts of drought.
Having already donated $25,000 to the Aussie Helpers farming charity, Bidfood will also donate funds from the sales of fresh meat products until 31 October.
Bidfood GM of Procurement and Marketing, Grant Fairlie, says “crises like this not only affect farmers and their families financially, but also emotionally and mentally.”
“Aussie Helpers provides the support these families need to ensure their overall well-being during tough times.”
“The farming community is one which is intrinsically linked to what we and our customers do every day. We are pleased to be able to provide this assistance and encourage the foodservice industry to continue to show their support to our farmers,” says Mr Fairlie.
