“We’re seeing cuisines such as Japanese and Italian making their way onto menus in a fresh new light,” says Grant.
“And with plant-based eating, or vegan, becoming increasingly mainstream, the market for faux-meat products will continue to grow. However, counteracting this trend is Australia’s appetite for high-end beef. It’s hungrier than ever, despite the rise in mock-meat products. We have observed that demand for cuts such as rib eye continues to be strong and is greater than previous years.”
