  • 500g minced beef
  • Oil, for frying
  • 4 slices Dairy Farmers High-Melt Burger Slices (188381)
  • 4 burger buns, split and toasted
  • Mayonnaise
  • Tomato sauce
  • Lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 red onion, finely sliced
  • Gherkins, thinly sliced

Method

1. Burger buns

Divide mince into 4 portions and with wet hands, roll each into a ball and press flat to form a patty.

2. Burger patties

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the burger patties for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Place a burger slice on top of each patty and cook for a further 1-2 minutes or until patty is cooked and cheese has started to melt.

3. To assemble

Spread burger buns with mayonnaise and tomato sauce, top each with lettuce and red onion. Add the burger patty and gherkins. Serve immediately.
