Deliciously toasty on the outside, fluffy on the inside, vanilla style Liège waffles. Topped with a creamy whipped butter and fresh berries, this recipe makes for the ultimate breakfast, brunch or dessert offering. Even better, it’s easy to ‘whip’ up too.
- 1⁄2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 The Australian Waffle Co. Vanilla Waffles (152319)
- 1⁄2 cup mixed berries
- Maple syrup, to serve
Whipped butter (makes 3 serves)
- 1⁄2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp milk, or water
1. To prepare the waffles
Combine cinnamon and sugar then sprinkle over waffles. Toast lightly to melt sugar slightly.
2. To make the whipped butter
Add softened butter to a bowl and add milk or water. Mix on low speed for 1-2 minutes. Increase to high speed and mix for an additional 2-4 minutes until the butter is light and creamy.
3. To finish
While the waffle is warm, plate and top with one tablespoon of whipped butter, mixed berries and drizzle with maple syrup.
