At last, tough restrictions placed on the hospitality industry are beginning to lift further and more restaurants are reopening their doors for table service. Staged dining times, set menus and limited capacity are just some of the changes. But nonetheless, venues are excited to re-open and serve up good food and good times to diners once again.

Below are just some of the restaurants and cafes that are getting back into the swing of things.

Located in Newstead, The Golden Pig is reopen with a special banquet style menu. Starting at $75pp, the menu includes a variety of Asian dishes from betel leaf with smoked duck breast, sticky tamarind sauce and grapefruit, to sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken with peanuts. Justin Lane

Three Restaurant Bar and Grill
More than your average bar and grill. Three Restaurant Bar and Grill, Caloundra, offers a contemporary modern Australian menu with a focus on local produce and efficient, friendly service. A Touch of Salt
With Queensland entering stage 2 of eased restrictions, Townsville’s award-winning modern Australian restaurant has launched a brand new menu and is ready to serve diners once again. With indoor and outdoor seating for 20 people per area, there are a number of dining times available and seating sessions of up to 2 hours. New South Wales

Ms. G’s
Located in Potts Point, Ms. G’s has a playful approach to cooking. Executive chef, Dan Hong and head chef, Paul Donnelly, combine various Asian cuisines with a hint of Americana to create dishes such as their famous cheeseburger spring rolls. The Depot

Fancy a cocktail and a snack? A cosy dinner for two? Or maybe a group dinner? Mr and Mrs P cater to all. This warm and welcoming cocktail bar and kitchen located Brighton is back. Lolo and Lola
This fantastic little Filipino eatery in the nation’s capital is re-open for indoor dining. Welcoming up to 20 guests at a time, Lolo and Lola are open for dinner only on Wednesday and Thursday from 5pm – 8pm, and lunch and dinner from Friday through to Sunday. loloandlola.com.au

Western Australia

MUST Wine Bar
Russell Blaikie’s MUST Wine Bar in Highgate re-opened June 6 for up to 70 diners with a set 4-course menu for $80pp featuring all the popular MUST classics. Bookings are essential and can be made online. must.com.au

The Hummus Club
Good news Perth, The Hummus Club is back! Experience their Middle Eastern shared menu from Thursday through to Saturday. Limited spaces available so bookings are essential. thehummusclub.com

Northern Territory

As of midday June 5, there are no longer any restrictions for the hospitality industry in Northern Territory. For more information, check out their roadmap to the new normal here.  


St Albi

South Australia

Nido Bar | Pasta
Nido has re-opened their doors for table service! Lunch bookings are available from Thursday – Saturday, for bookings more than four the $52pp set menu is required. Dinner is available from Wednesday – Saturday with a $78pp set menu for groups of four or more. Table service commences from 5pm with three 1.5 hour sittings. Coccobello is back and dishing up their authentic Italian food. Dine-in on Wednesday and Thursday at 5:30pm to 7pm or 7:15pm onwards. Weekend dining is available with three sittings – 5:00pm to 6:15pm, 6:30pm to 8pm and 8:15pm onwards.
